AVICII’s Video For Single ‘LONELY TOGETHER’ Featuring Rita Ora

Avicii has released the official video for his new single ‘Lonely Together’. Taken from his current EP ‘AVĪCI’, the track features British pop singer Rita Ora, who performed the song live on the first episode of the 2017 series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing on the 9th of September.

The video was directed by Levan Tsikurishvili, and co-directed by Phillip R. Lopez. It features a “frozen world” with a couple that is not frozen in time moving throughout multiple scenes that feature beautiful filmography. Avicii tells a story with this track that will bring all of your emotions to the surface. It is a fun upbeat song that sounds similar to a summer anthem but puts a spin on things with the beautiful vocals by Rita Ora. In this “frozen world” the couple that the video focuses on is able to interact with the frozen surroundings in stunning fashion. You would expect to see breathtaking scenes like this in a movie but Levan Tsikurishvili and Phillip R. Lopez managed to pack all of the action into a three-minute video flawlessly. The progression of the lyrics and music work seamlessly alongside the visuals to provide a very strong emotional effect. It is very easy to get lost in this song and really start to grasp the meaning of the lyrics. Avicii has done nothing but impress with his new 5-track ‘AVĪCI’ EP.
The 5-track ‘AVĪCI’ EP is the first new music from Swedish DJ, producer and songwriter Avicii since 2015 and the announcement of his retirement from the live circuit last year. ‘Lonely Together’ has already proved a hit and currently sits at number 4 on the UK iTunes chart and has been streamed over 55,000,000 times on Spotify alone.

Rita Ora

Rita Ora is a British singer-songwriter. She was born in 1990 in Pristina, SFR Yugoslavia, now Kosovo, to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatçiu. At age one, her family decided to move to the United Kingdom. She grew up in West London and attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court, following which she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School and then St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing at a young age.

In 2007, Ora had her first music release when she appeared on Craig David’s track entitled “Awkward” and then again in 2008 on “Where’s Your Love” featuring Tinchy Stryder, for which she also appears in the music video. Ora began singing in bars in and around London, and in 2009 an A&R told Roc Nation about Ora, a few days after Ora flew out to New York and met Jay Z. In 2009, Ora made a cameo on Jay-Z’s video for “Young Forever” and “Over” by Drake. Ora caught the attention of Jay Z and he quietly signed her to Roc Nation, in which she was featured in a commercial for Roc Nation + Skullcandy Aviator Headphones.
