Top Electronic Dance Music Songs That are Unique

Electronic Dance Music or EDM is the generic term used for sampling from a wide range of sources to create new, unique dance music. It’s basically a way to combine various musical styles into one complete track. It’s not as popular as hip hop or new wave, but it’s growing in popularity thanks to big DJs putting out top-notch albums every year. If you’ve never been exposed to this genre, what are some of the top electronic dance music songs? Here are some suggestions:

“roid packs” is a relatively new song but has quickly become one of the most popular on the market. “roid” is an homage to the famous orange and yellow robots popularized by Nintendo in the 80’s. The robot pack, which is actually two CDs in total, contains all the music you could ever want to make your own. This is another top electronic dance music song because it’s a great example of how a simple recording technique can create something amazing.

One of the newer and more experimental songs, “Wake Me Up” by Avicii is an electronic dance music favorite. This song is unlike any other on this list. The entire song is played backwards. That means that you’re hearing the audio from the back of a song, not from someone singing. It’s a great way to expand your musical horizons.

No list of top electronic dance music songs would be complete without “Phone Love.” This song sounds a bit like “I’m a bad girl” by Def Leppard, but it trades in that typical song for a dreamy, romantic sound. The keyboard sounds are soft and dreamy, almost reminiscent of falling truly hopelessly in love. This is an emotional dance song with a beautiful melody that will have you dancing away your troubles.

We might be getting a little ahead of ourselves here, but don’t think that trancey tracks and fuzzy guitars have no place on the list of top electronic dance music songs. It’s impossible to talk about the top electronic dance music songs without including David Sitek. After playing dozens of his songs, I can honestly say that he has made my day a dozen times over. His style is very distinctive, and his sense of humor is refreshing. He has created some amazing tracks that I’ve enjoyed.

If you’re looking for an electronic dance tune that will get everyone up and moving, “Give Me the Reason” by Disclosure is the track for you. This song is something completely different than the other songs on this list. The first part of the song is slow and soothing, as the protagonist waits for just the right moment to push the button. Once that happens, the tempo quickly picks up and the song takes off. The lyrics are catchy and the beat is perfect for this sort of dance.

Now, if you’re looking for the top electronic dance music song with a great beat, look no further than “Don’t Play These Games”, by Skrillex. This song starts out slow, but Skrillex is an absolute expert at letting it grow right until the end. This is one of my favorite songs that he has made and the music video is absolutely fantastic. As far as dance music goes, this one is definitely one of the best.

If you want to make things a bit more interesting, try to slow things down to 50 beats per minute. “LPolo” by David Gachman is one of my favorite tracks from the guy’s career. Not only does the music have a fantastic feel, but the songs actually flow together quite well. I’d highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a little fun with the computer. Hopefully the next couple of articles will bring some more insight into the best songs on turntables and what makes them so great.
