Deadmau5 Partners With FaceRig, Brings mau5head To Digital World
The digital avatar software, FaceRig, fielded an unusual request from veteran electronic music producer and fledgling PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds streamer deadmau5. The performer contacted leadership at the transformative webcam software company regarding whether a custom deadmau5 avatar could be built so he could digitally incorporate his recognizable mau5head from his electronic music shows into the facecam area of his Twitch streams.
FaceRig owner Dragos Florin says,
“Of course we were immediately game to build a deadmau5 avatar. We’ve always been fans of deadmau5’s music, but we were really blown away by his entrance into the streaming world when we saw that he called out fellow streamer Dr. Disrespect on stage at one of his music performances. Creative cross-medium imaginings is exactly what FaceRig is about and we are more than excited to release deadmau5’s avatar to the public. “
