DJ Snake Visits Bangladesh, Raises Awareness For Crisis


International superstar DJ/producer DJ Snake is using his influential position to raise awareness for nearly 1 million uprooted Rohingya. Barbarically forced from their homes in Myanmar into Bangladesh, they now live in impoverished chaos in the largest refugee camp in the world.

The French producer is currently there to live stream an awareness campaign. DJ Snake takes a stand for the most persecuted minority group in the world, raising awareness to improve living conditions by providing food, education, medicine, clothing, shelter and more.


The Rohingya are a unique ethnic group that has been denied citizenship by law in Myanmar since 1982. Over the decades, the mostly Muslim minorities have faced extreme repression by Myanmar authorities. In 2013, the United Nations to name the Rohingya one of the most persecuted minorities in the world.

In 2016, the number of refugee Rohingya reached a level of crisis, since which the situation has only worsened. DJ Snake is working with the activist network Love Army to meet the refugees, speak with them and learn about their needs.

Not wasting any time, DJ Snake has already taken to social media to spread the word about the issue. On Monday, November 27, DJ Snake posted a video displaying their gruesome living conditions. Throughout the day on Tuesday, November 28, DJ Snake’s live stream documents his experience meeting with and performing for the refugees.
