Beatport Reconnect launches "Together For Beirut" in support for victims of the Beirut explosion

Beatport ReConnect is launching a two-part 24-hour livestream fundraiser titled “Together for Beirut”. The fundraiser is an initiative between Beatport, Nicole Moudaber, WILD Tulum and Factory People.

Nicole Moudaber is a Lebanese DJ who started her career promoting parties in Beirut. Regarding “Together for Beirut”, she said, “These fundraising events will provide much-needed relief and support to the people of Beirut and the many affected by the recent tragedy.”

“International financial aid and support has been overwhelming, but it’s not enough,” she continued. “We must support in any way we can to help, and in addition, our efforts will also be helping the music and arts industry of Lebanon which has been wiped out.”

Beatport and its partners are hoping to raise $250,000 for the fundraiser. Donations from the fundraiser will go towards Impact Lebanon and will support various nonprofits. These include the Lebanese Red Cross, Arcenciel and other organizations related to music.

The first lineup includes techno names like Anane, ANNA, Behrouz, Carl Cox, Chris Liebing, Damian Lazarus, Dubfire, John Digweed, and more. The first livestream for Beatport’s “Together for Beirut” will begin on August 22 at 6 p.m. BST with DJs playing nonstop for 24 hours.

Beatport Reconnect’s second livestream will begin on September 13 at 4 p.m. BST.
