Calvin Harris Headlining Defected Virtual Festival 3.0
Love Regenerator Presents: Defected Virtual Festival 3.0

Earlier this year, Calvin Harris started a new project called Love Regenerator. Calvin Harris, born as Adam Wiles, wanted a way to continue creating music without seeing the negative connotations that he feels come along with this stage name. Wiles created an alias, Love Regenerator, to release new music.

I wanted to rediscover the way I originally began producing music 22 years ago before I ever thought about how it might be perceived by outside forces.

The music Wiles is releasing under Love Generator does just that. He is straying away from the pop-friendly music he has been producing under the name Calvin Harris. Instead, Love Generator is disco-heavy and inspired by early raves and techno.
About Defected Records
Defected Records, founded by Simon Dunmore, is an extremely influential UK House Record Label. Dunmore dreamt “for people to have a Defected rack in their collections in the same way they’d have a Salsoul rack, a Prelude rack, a Strictly rack, a Philly International rack”. Defected is featured at many events in the UK. There are two upcoming events, Forbidden Forest and Glitterbox Hannover.
Defected Virtual Festival 3.0
Defected Virtual Festival’s debut was March 18, 2020, and it accumulated over 5 million streams. With the success of the first try, Dunmore decided to continue streaming sets.
Music and clubbing are an escape for many and, with social gatherings being rightfully restricted, we wanted to connect people online in the hope that they appreciate they are not alone.
Dunmore about Defected Virtual Festival

Calvin Harris will be headlining the third broadcast.
Defected helped define the sound of house music I was listening to as a teenager; I associate the old grey and blue 12” covers with so much happiness and inspiration…
