Darkest Before Dawn

The first ever Darkest Before Dawn will take place next week from August 19th to August 21st. The festival will take place at the Junebug Boogie Ranch in Cookeville, Tennessee. This is the inaugural year for the festival. Darkest Before Dawn is a camping festival featuring a wide variety of music on two stages. It features talent coming from all over the country playing Funk, Rock, Jam, Jazz, Hip Hop, House, Bass, Trip Hop, DnB, Breakbeat, and more. The festival celebrates the total solar eclipse, which will take place during the festival.

The headliners for the festival are Eddie Gold, Aqueous, Wax Future, Opposite Box, Debroka, and Midnite Panda.

Eddie Gold

A bass producer from Atlanta, Georgia. His experience includes playing at several major festivals including Tomorrowworld, Imagine Music Festival, Counterpoint, Buku festival, and De Luna Music Festival. He has released tracks for on #GOLDFAM records, Arkitque records, Total Damage Records, FreakStep Records and Sine Language Imprint.


A jam band consisting of four members. Originally from Buffalo, NY Aqueous is a relatively new band that does shows at venues and festivals all over the country. The regularly compose and improvise during their shows, making each show a unique experience.

Wax Future

Three members: Connor Hansell, Keith Wadsworth and Jamal Ra. Their music consists of a mosaic of modern Electronica music blending everything from funk to glitch through a live improvisational lens. Originally from Philadelphia, they regularly perform at some of the largest venues and festivals in the country.

Opposite Box

A rock band from Chattanooga, Tennessee. They are known for their high energy at their events. They play a seamless blend of psychedelic jazz, progressive soul, and dirty funk. Click here to listen to their music.
