Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, better known to millions of electronic dance music fans as “EDC Vegas“, is approaching soon. Insomniac’s leading festival is also North America’s largest EDM festival and the upcoming edition is the 10th anniversary of EDC at its flagship location, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Since its first edition in 1991 organized by Steve “Kool-Aid” Enos and Gary Richards in Ponoma, California, outside of Los Angeles. EDC is now a global phenomenon, especially as it’s organized by celebrated event promoter, Pasquale Rotella. Notable worldwide EDC festivals include EDC Mexico, EDC Japan, EDC Korea, and EDC Orlando.
Just like last year, Insomniac is hosting the festival again in May, with the dates being May 15-17, 2020. Furthermore, the 2019 edition encountered weather problems when high winds during the second day led festival organizers to temporarily close two out of nine stages. As EDC 2020 approaches, attendees should bring jackets or coats so that they can stay warm while they dance. Here is what to expect at the 10th anniversary of Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas.
Stages of EDC Vegas 2020
The nine stages of EDC 2020 are kineticFIELD, cosmicMEADOW, circuitGROUNDS, neonGARDEN, bassPOD, wasteLAND, quantumVALLEY, stereoBLOOM, and a mobile stage called ART CARS. Additionally, cosmicMEADOW conducts the Opening Ceremony and it is where some of the world’s top artists headline the festival. The circuitGROUNDS stage provides illuminating LED walls and blazing fire plumes that cultivate an atmosphere of positive energy. The bassPOD stage is surely a hub where bass music aficionados rage and head-bang to their heart’s delight. Similarly, the wasteLAND stage is where ravers mosh to lightning-quick tempos of hard dance, hardcore, and other forms of hardstyle. The attendees at the quantumVALLEY stage can experience good vibrations while listening to upbeat trance music. Interestingly, stereoBLOOM is where people can dance to various dance music genres performed by rising stars and famous names alike. Finally, ART CARS has buggies and party ships that serve as mobile sound systems that drive throughout the whole speedway.
One exciting aspect of EDC Vegas that many attendees look forward to is the camping experience at Camp EDC. The camping options and attractions at Camp EDC include RVs, Moon Glow, The Mesa, and Desert Rose. Anyone who wants to rent RVs can purchase a “layaway deposit” pass for $89.99 or pay one time for $449. Moon Glow lets up to four campers reside in each tent and the campers can just bring their beds, personal items, and two travel locks. The one-time payment to stay in Moon Glow is $1,099 and the price for a four-day camping locker is $60.

For instance, The Mesa has pool parties, curated guest speakers, and meditation classes. Finally, the Desert Rose ShiftPod provides an innovative camping experience and the one-time payment for it is $1,399. Desert Rose also has the “ShiftPod2” shelter system for its tents, which can accommodate two people with mattresses and linens. Right now, the Camp EDC options, as well as the ticket passes, are all sold out.
The World of Electric Daisy Carnival
For people who are attending Electric Daisy Carnival for the first time, they will definitely have a memorable weekend. EDC is where attendees escape their everyday lives for three days and celebrate with friends and strangers alike who also love electronic music. The art at EDC consists of 3D superstructures, glow-in-the dark settings, and beautiful LED-infused flora and fauna.
