Tomorrowland DJ Competition presented by Brussels Airlines

There must be more than a few dozen people who were forever changed by the epic Tomorrowland aftermovie back in 2012. Ever since its premier, it’s been a dream to visit such a magical place. One can only assume that, as a DJ, performing at Tomorrowland would be an absolute dream come true. This year, two lucky DJs will be heading to Belgium to perform at the one of the most iconic electronic music festivals in the world, and the fans have a say in who it will be!

On Wednesday July 12, an epic battle of the DJs will take place at HAUS (one of New York City’s hottest nightclubs). The first ever Global Journey DJ Battle will be hosted by Tomorrowland and Brussels Airlines, the event represents the loyal partnership between the two. For the last four years, Brussels airlines have been bringing people together from all over the world to experience the magic of Tomorrowland. In February of this year, the airline welcomed its newest member, Amare, as the fourth airbus A320. Amare (which means “Live Today, Love Tomorrow, Unite Forever”) is an ode to Tomorrowland and it’s mission is to continue to unite “the People of Tomorrow.”

This year Tomorrowland is showing their most trusted airline some major love by providing them with their own stand at the the festival, and they are giving the fans a chance to pick who they want to play.

Four up-and-coming DJs will be competing for the chance to win an all expense paid travel package to Tomorrowland (this year, the music festival will run on consecutive weekends; July 21-23 and July 28-30 in Boom, Belgium). In addition to the travel package, the 2 contest winners will receive their own time slot to perform at the Brussels Airlines Stand at Tomorrowland!

Here’s a rundown on the 4 DJs who will be competing for this once in a lifetime opportunity:

1. Damien Anthony is a resident DJ on the mix show “Weekend Throw Down with Jagger,” with releases on Perfecto Records.

2. Fatum is a Grammy-nominated artist with releases on Armada Music, Ultra Records, and Big Beat/Atlantic.

3. Mike Saint Jules with support from Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten and Armin Van Buuren, Saint-Jules has a solid list of releases on labels such as Flashover Recordings and In Trance We Trust. Saint-Jules has also performed at EDC NYC & Dreamstate 2016.

4. Sheni Doko, a Beatport “Top 25” charting artist, was the winner of the EDC Discovery Project in 2016 and has since collaborated with artists like Laidback Luke.

The event will run from 6:30pm until midnight. Two winners will be selected by a panel of industry veterans, including DJ Times magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Jim Tremayne, along with input from the audience.
