We live in a time where global corporations have taken over, and when it comes to music festivals, that translates into one priority: REVENUE. Last year, Live Nation, who also owns ACL music festival and EDC, bought out the largest independent festival in the world: Bonnaroo. A few other festival corporation bigwigs to mention are AEG and C3. The festivals run by these corporations all provide more than adequate performance lineups, yet they seem to be centered around ticket sales as opposed to providing their attendees with the best possible experience. This is where Imagine Music Festival comes in.
Imagine Music Festival is one of few independent music festivals left in the United States. Without having organizations like Live Nation, AEG and C3 involved, Iris Presents, the promoter, and producer of Imagine Music Festival, has been able to center the focus of the festival on their fans. The promotion team has consistently engaged the fans and attendees throughout the last 3 years, listening to what they have to say. This year the festival continues to make the upgrades and accommodations requested by festival goers. This includes fixing festival issues, such as adding more food options, more water stations, and ridding sound issues.
One of the main complaints last year was that there was too much open space between stages. This year, festival attendees won’t have issues finding something to do in between sets. The raceway will be full of vendors, art, dancers, and performers. Extra shaded areas and charging stations are being added. More so, they will be returning with the imagine splash pool and have added a variety of workshops! Camping and VIP add-ons are being made available for purchase to even further enhance Imagine’s aquatic fairy tale experience.
September 22th-24th 2017, grab your dancing shoes and boogie on down to Atlanta Motor Speedway to catch the biggest names in EDM: Deadmau5, Tiesto, Above & Beyond, Flux Pavilion, Seven Lions and much more. Just added in phase 2 is an artist that has boomed over the past couple of years: Illenium.
