Lightning In A Bottle 2018 Releases Lineup
Lightning In A Bottle
The transformative music and art festival Lightning In A Bottle returns to Lake San Antonio in Bradley, California on May 23-28. Over 20,000 attendees will venture to the Central California Coast on Memorial weekend to experience a weekend filled with music and culture provided by Do LaB.
Do LaB Doing it Right
‘Lightning In A Bottle’ happens to be the largest of Do LaB’s self-produced events. The festival is ahead of recent Dirtybird Campout East and West. Past events the group has aided to produce include Woogie Weekend and The Great Convergence in Giza, Egypt. Do LaB also contributes innovative structures and immersive environments for events like Coachella, Boom Festival, and Virgin Music Festival.
On top of the spectacular production, and the fact that the festival is the only one to ever win A Greener Festival’s Outstanding Award for five years running, it has continued to boast a diverse and electric multi-genre lineup. The lineup also features headliners Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Griz, and ZHU. The rest of the lineup is studded with electronic favorites such as The Glitch Mob, TOKiMONSTA and a special performance by Android Jones.
Lineup
Anderson .Paak burst into the scene on Dr. Dre’s Compton LP. The band is comprised of musicians Jose Rios, Ron Tnava Avant, Kelsey Gonzolas, and Callum Connor as well as Anderson. The group has also been featured on NPR’s: Tiny Desk Concert and a variety of other music platforms. He has even got some spotlight at SXSW.
The Grammy-nominated ZHU has collaborated with artists such as Skrillex, Kaskade, and Nero. ZHU combines cinematic beauty into his musical performances. The producer is also involved in projects like animated shorts scored to music, a fashion line, and digital art activations.
Of course well all know GRiZ. Grant Kwiecinski, funky sax slaying producer from Detroit, will be kicking off the summer with fans at the festival. GRiZ is coming off of his recent tour as well as a long break after Backwoods Music Festival.
The Glitch Mob, Los Angeles-based trio of Justin Boreta, Ed Ma, and Joshua Mayer are returning to the Lighting Stage once again. This legendary group combines different styles to produce one of the most renowned electronic acts to date.
Android Jones performances are always unique. The artistic genius began his career as an independent artist in 2005 and had since made a name for himself. The virtual-reality artist has been called a digital alchemist and painter. Android’s psychedelic works, live performances, and custom-built digital setup create a production like no other.
As TOKiMONSTA, California producer Jennifer Lee is also among the top-notch headliners. Her most recent project Lune Rouge is a vibrant album that stands as the summation of what she has been cooking up since her Half Shadows LP. Fans can also look forward to much more from many other artists at Lighting In A Bottle 2018.
