Returning for its second edition is Taiwan’s biggest electronic dance music festival Looptopia. Last year’s debut event held a successful turnout of 32,000. Accordingly, the 2018 event expects to fill the venue’s 50,000 person capacity.

Promotions
TheLOOP is currently one of Taiwan’s leading entertainment brands. Since founded in 2001, its organizers David and Alan Hsia have brought the best entertainment to Taiwan’s nightclubs as well as large-scale events. Presently, they run three clubs: KOR, OMNI, and LUXY.
To emphasize, they are some of the most beautifully decorated venues of Taiwan. Some recent events they have put on include a 2F White Party, Halloween Massive, Fantasia, Winter Love, and Spring Love. Moreover, TheLOOP works with ID&T for the event Sensation.
Highlights
This years lineup includes 50 artists that will span across three stages. Furthermore, the lineup will consist of a variety of electronic music genres. Certainly, these include house, trance, psytrance, dubstep, hardstyle, and other bass music.

Q-Dance X Looptopia
Amidst the excitement this year is a partnership with dutch Hardstyle brand Q-Dance. The Q-Dance Takeover at the Monster Tower Stage will of course treat audiences to the hardstyle sounds of Brennan Heart, Coone, and Zatox, as well as Atmozfears.
Ultimately, Alan Hsia, the event organizer, believes partnerships with successful names like Q-Dance will leverage Taiwan’s presence within the EDM industry:
Using LOOPTOPIA as a platform to land artists, labels, and brands to introduce and increase interactivity with the best festival crowd in Taiwan. The collaboration with Q-Dance this year is just a beginning.
Lineup & Tickets
On March 27, 2018, Looptopia officially announced the complete lineup.
This festival has a legendary mix of well-known DJs and upcoming artists. Noteworthy artists include DJ Snake, Axwell & Ingrosso, Ferry Corsten, Shapov, RayRay, and Vinem.

DJ Snake
DJ Snake is a French producer with one of the largest followings of those artists appearing at Looptopia. Recruiting sounds from hip-hop and electronic music, DJ Snake is making the most of his musicality in his latest release “Magenta Riddim.” Hear his performance on day one at the Kingdom of Looptopia stage.
Axwell Λ Ingrosso
Axwell Λ Ingrosso currently have just as much of a following as they previously did. As such, the artists deliver spirited house music at main stage events such as Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Indulge in their sound on day two at the Kingdom of Looptopia stage.
Ferry Corsten
Ferry Corsten of Rotterdam, Netherlands is a legend in trance music. Accordingly, he has his own smartphone app which fans use to keep up with him. His latest release “A Slice of Heaven” is an excellent example of his trance productions. Join him on day two at the White Palace stage.
Shapov
Shapov of Russia produces main stage dance music. His dance-able club-style interpretation of bass house is also popular at large-scale events like Tomorrowland. For example, the versatile producer Shapov takes listeners to a deeper level with his latest release “Alternate.” Catch him on day one at the Kingdom of Looptopia stage.
RayRay
RayRay brings future bass with tough vibes. Likewise, her sound has influences from hip-hop and dubstep. Not to mention, her tracks rank #1 among the Top Taiwan DJs. She is also a favorite of the TheLOOP and a resident DJ at their iconic OMNI club in Taipei.

Vinem
Vinem is a DJ native to Taiwan. Overall, his trap-style and future-bass sounds create euphoric vibes. Accordingly, his tracks such as “Deformed Diving” are dance-ready and fun. Have a listen to the track below, and then head to the Monster Tower stage on day one of the festival for his set.
