Metarama Brings Gaming and Music Together

The first thing that comes to people’s minds when the words “music festival” and “Las Vegas” come together is EDC. The most-recognizable electronic music festival has attracted millions of fans worldwide since it moved to “Sin City” in 2011. However, there is a new two-day festival in October that promises to be innovative and memorable. That festival is Metarama and it’s going to be hosted at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on October 19th-20th. In short, Metarama’s purpose is to connect music with e-sports, gaming, streaming, comedy, and cosplay.
Metarama’s Music, Gaming, and Comedy Lineup
The festival’s musical lineup comes from various genres, particularly DJs who’ve performed at EDC and other Las Vegas casinos and nightclubs. The headlining EDM act at Metarama is Marshmello and he will perform on Saturday, October 19th. Other EDM acts at Metarama include Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal’s DJ alias), Grouplove, and Alan Walker. When it comes to Metarama’s non-EDM acts, the lineup includes Logic, Lindsey Stirling, Snoop Dogg, and Witt Lowry.
Likewise, Metarama’s gaming lineup contain many e-sports and live-streaming celebrities. Notably, the famous streamer Ninja is a headlining act on October 19th, as well as Jacksepticeye for October 20th. There are plenty of comedians and live-streamers for festival patrons to watch out for as well including Andy Milonakis, Alexia Raye, and Nate Hill and Imagine Dragons will also make a gaming-only appearance at Metarama. Finally, Metarama will host the Overwatch League exhibition matches, the League of Legends finals between Pros and Joes, and the “Metarama Masters” where the festival’s performing artists will play today’s most popular games.
Expectations for Metarama
The Metarama Gaming and Music Festival aims to bring music and gaming fans together for a weekend of innovation and excitement. Music and video games have connected with one another for the past few decades, from 8-bit jingles on Super Mario to star-studded soundtracks on EA Sports franchises. Metarama is a good opportunity for people to see the continuous growth of the e-sports industry. The festival will show gamers that the artists are just like them when it comes to playing video games. Only time will tell if Metarama can become Las Vegas’ second most-anticipated music festival of the year.
