Music On New York
Marco Carola’s Music On New York showcase is a few days away with another explosively, extended warehouse session on February 16, 2018. The event is presented by Teksupport and set to take place at Depot 52 Warehouse in Brooklyn. Marco Carola will also be joined by Danny Tenaglia and DC-10 regular Jesse Calosso to host the breathtaking night. Find tickets here.
Marco Carola is showcasing ‘Music On NY’ worldwide with special guests at each stop, making each performance extra memorable. Last weekend on February 10, Nic Fanciulli hosted the show in London. Previously, Marco has brought some of the world’s most renowned tech-house DJs. Some of the artists include Carl Cox, Green Velvet, Paco Osuna, Oxia, The Martinez Brothers, amongst many more.
The bridge from Ibiza to NYC
Since last year, Teksupport has been dominating the NYC warehouse scene, bringing world-class tech-house events to the city that never sleeps. Among a concrete jungle of elaborate high-end clubs, Teksupport has been able to revamp warehouse spaces to emulate the sought-after vibe of the European underground.
Founded by Rob Toma, Teksupport made its first mark when they brought Germany’s Time Warp to North America in 2014. After a two-year hiatus, Teksupport returned to the techno-scene by storm in 2016. As a result, Teksupport has become one of the head honchos of the NYC underground scene today.
In the past year, Teksupport has brought top-notch Ibiza artists to perform at what is now one of the most memorable underground New York events. In doing so, Teksupport has built a metaphorical bridge from Ibiza to New York City. For Halloween 2017, Teksupport presented Circoloco with the likes of Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Loco Dice, and more. Another notable event brought to New York by Teksupport was the underground Ibiza movement ANTS, headed by the mesmerizing Nic Fanciulli and Lauren Lane.
Teksupport has been hitting New York with a massive tidal wave full of elite artists from across the world. The lineups are consistently impressive, blessing New York with performances by Deadmau5’s Testpilot, Paco Osuna, Solomun, Tale Of Us, and more.
Lineup
The full lineup for the New York showcase was announced in mid-January. Joining Marco Carola will be Danny Tenaglia and Jesse Calosso for a night of energy-bursting sets. The trio will put on a show sure to stimulate a dance-filled night for all attending techno-lovers.
Marco Carola
Marco Carola is a global face of techno, originally from Napoli, Italy. He has been a key player in the international rise of the electronic scene since the early 90s. Decades later, Marco is still known as one of the most esteemed and energetic artists among the techno scene. He is also one of the critical factors in driving the techno-genre towards worldwide recognition within electronic music.
Danny Tenaglia
Danny Tenaglia is a New York-based DJ, and Grammy-nominated record producer. He gained momentum in his career in the 70s when he first got his hands on vinyl. In 1985, he relocated to Miami where his career as a successful DJ took off. Since then, Danny has gained increasing recognition as a DJ and producer worldwide. After 30+ years in the industry, the DJ continues to bring original, groovy, and experimental beats to the decks.
Jesse Calosso
Jesse Calosso is a young, Bronx-born producer. He has close-knit friendships with The Martinez Brothers and Filsonik, both influential New York artists in the electronic world. Jesse has several collaborations with each. The DJ’s musical influences are mostly disco, per Jesse, and speaks of his father’s love for the genre as a driver behind an “attic full of vinyl” at home. Overall, the young DJ’s productions deliver a multidimensional, dark and distorted groove.
