Lineup Highlights
The highly anticipated lineup for the third round of Ocaso Underground Music Festival features house and techno royalty including the headlining Jamie Jones, Desert Hearts brethren Mikey Lion and Lee Reynolds, German house producers H.O.S.H. and Andreas Henneberg, Doc Martin, Kevin Knapp, and so many more. Ocaso will also be showcasing local Costa Rican powerhouse producers and DJs such as Melissa O, Burika, JAVEE, Crocodile Time, Alex Orias, and Brenda Segura, to name a few.
Headliners
Jamie Jones
For over a decade of success as a techno DJ and Producer, Jamie Jones is credited to bring a more melodic style to the techno genre. Further still, he represents techno music as the label manager for Hot Creations. Listen to his latest track, “Medication”, a collaboration with Erick Morillo from the Ocaso Spotify Playlist below.
H.O.S.H.
Deep house and techno style electronic music is H.O.S.H.‘s specialty because he has been in the electronic music world for some years as an up and coming artist. In 2017, he established his own record label called Fryhide. He is making music that makes him one of the event headliners. Hear his latest release single with Groj entitled “Jedi” from the compilation playlist below.
Costa Rican Artists
Melissa O
Mixing tracks at age 20 way back in 1999, Melissa O is a well-recognized DJ and Producer especially as an artist to emerge from Latin America. Proudly a success at home, she is also pleasing audiences in America and Europe. Also, her global appeal will mean a performance at the upcoming festival in 2019. Keep an ear out for her sets, and look for more from this artist’s participation with the Half Seas Over label.
Crocodile Time
This local Costa Rican talent is picking up momentum as a DJ with several performances in San José, Costa Rica since 2015, most recently, at the club Amon Solar, where he has played many times. In the studio, Crocodile Time has but one production, a remix, of “Pattern 13” by Leo Chonkan–certainly, an indication of his talent to mix music. Furthermore, hear the result below.

Seemingly the ideal beach destination, especially since the festival is set on the coast of Tamarindo Playa. In daylight, attendees can interact with the stunning landscape and environment with excursions such as scuba diving, ATV touring, zip lining, or just relaxing on the beach, as a seemingly perfect way to prepare for a night of dancing. Once you enter the festival, you enter a surreal blend of underground music and the rich culture of Costa Rica. Above all, this atmosphere is real.
