Married To The Rave: Our Top Picks

Earlier today, EDM Frontlife released the set times of their upcoming Orlando festival (listed below). The Married To The Rave festival is almost nigh (Purchase tickets HERE)! That being said, with Married To The Rave finally beginning this Saturday, now is as good as a time as ever to take a look at the talent driving the event. Spread across three stages, here are the artists that have us most excited for this Saturday!

1. Kristina Sky

One of the more seasoned DJ’s playing the event, Kristina Sky has been spinning for over a decade. The LA resident has performed all over the world, from ASOT in Utrecht, to Coachella. Seeing Kristina Sky live is a sight to behold; her smile illuminates the booth and her energy possesses the room. You instantly hear the emotion that has driven the trance genre since the first half of the new century. Kristina Sky recently performed a great set at the Subculture event in LA. Beginning with melodic progressive she builds into a beautiful soundscape yearning for life.

2. Neptune Project

One of the most celebrated duos in trance, Neptune Project consists of Dan Wilis & Jules Moyce. This trance duo is known for their infamous extended sets, very much so that they have recently announced that they are no longer performing sets under two hours. Luckily, Married To The Rave is confirmed to have an extended two hour set over at the terrace. A good place to start listening is their 2017 Luminosity set, in which one of the members dressed up as the cookie monster. One can only hope our favorite snack loving creature makes an appearance!

3. Indecent Noise

We’re no strangers to the brilliance that is Aleksander Stawierej. Known for his world class productions and the monstrous Mental Asylum label, Indecent Noise has painted the landscapes of trance black with his signature style of tech trance. Noise can take his set many places. He can either drop an uplifting, melodic release like “Blade Dancer” or “Glitches”, or he can bang out techy acts of indecency with “Cerberus” or “Dolores“. Whatever the case, he will have you locked in the moment. Indecent Noise has poked his head around Orlando before. He played a high profile performance at EDC Orlando in 2014. Listen to it below!

4. Protohype

As the closing headliner of the mainstage, Protohype promises to bring a wide range of world dominating bass. He’s had a slew of heated releases off of Smog and Firepower Records. Despite the rambunctiousness of his music, and the amount faces he’s melted with his bass, he’s actually a nice guy. A known advocate of anti-animal cruelty establishments, Protohype frequently contributes to charities using his Puppycrew brand. Nice guy, loud guns. Hear him at work below.

5. PhaseOne

The Australian-made PhaseOne is an eclectic dubstep producer that utilizes influences from metal music. PhaseOne has worked his way through the spectrum of most bass music genres in general. Due to his metal background, his music has an infectious kick to ensnare any rail hugger. Not much else can be said of this producer who has been supported by the likes of Hucci, Excision, & More. Listen to the mix below to get the full dosage of adrenaline.

6. Ronnie Lopez

Ronnie Lopez has experienced the scene through many different home fronts. Recently he has been a mainstay in Tampa. Although he is known to play a number of different genres, he is slated to play an underground house set in the Lounge. One of his recent releases took the shape of the Sorcery EP (Read about it HERE) which took his style of electronic into a dark direction of mystery and wonder. We can expect a passion-filled throwdown for his nighttime set. Ronnie Lopez put out a promo mix especially for Married To The Rave and if it is an accurate glimpse into what is to come, we are certainly in luck.

7. Matt Lange

Matt Lange is a producer with a very expansive discography. Having had releases on many labels ranging from Mau5trap to Anjunadeep, Matt Lange is sure to be an incredible experience in the Lounge. Matt Lange has had highly acclaimed releases such as the Staccato EP or his Ephemera LP. He even had engineering input on BT’s These Hopeful Machines. One thing you can expect from his set on Saturday: serious music. Listen to his set at Coda Toronto for an idea of how epic his set will be.

8. Fancy Fux

As one of Dirtybird’s freshest names, Fancy Fux was announced as a surprise entry to the festival’s lineup. Like much of the Dirtybird team, Fancy Fux has a g-house touch to their music. Known for their hit “Stripper” featuring Katie Got Bandz, the duo has received support from Jamie Jones & Seth Troxler and was featured by Claude VonStroke in his campout promotions. We can already hear the crowd chants of “Right cheek…Left cheek…”

9. Suzy Solar

One of Orlando’s favorite trance DJ’s, Suzy Solar has been an integral part of the Florida trance scene as a whole. As such, it is hard to imagine an Orlando trance event without her. While she has been a part of Lost in Trancelation (Along with Robb Blak who is also playing at Married To The Rave), there has been consistent trance parties in the city. Suzy’s hammering styles of trance will blast the crowd to the next constellation and back. Live performing aside, her productions have been released through labels such as Always Alive Recordings and Alex M.O.R.P.H.‘s Universal Nation. Her radio show, Solar Power Sessions, is currently at over 800 episodes and counting. You can listen to an episode below, in preparation to be blown away this Saturday.

10. Landis LaPace

Keeping it close to home, Landis LaPace is another Florida local who does wonders with his incredible productions. At a young age, LaPace has already released on well known labels such as This Ain’t Bristol, Main Course, and Perfect Driver Music. His tracks “My Drums” and “Ambition” perfectly showcase the types of beats this man can bring to the table. This Saturday, he will be performing a back to back with Shane McCarron. Here’s a sample of how the two feed off of each other and will perform for their second-to-closing set.
