The summer is in full swing at Hï Ibiza
As the 2018 season kicks off, Hï Ibiza prepares for its second season on the island. Last year, the newest club on the island made a spectacular impact on the music scene and curated a weekly roster that proved popular with Ibiza revelers.
As its opening parties are in full flight OneEDM takes a look at what’s in store for Ibiza’s newest club.
A new concept for 2018 presented by Cathy Guetta. Gangstar kicks off the week with a strong urban and R’n’B influence. Cathy Guetta has a long association with the island and is known for high quality, glamorous parties. Gangstar takes place every Monday for 17 weeks until early September.
Tuesday- Eric Prydz
The Swedish legend returns to the white isle for a second season following a wildly successful first full season on the island. Having performed sporadically on the island in previous years, Prydz has committed himself to the Playa d’en Bossa club for 12 weeks, opening on July 10th. This is a “must see” performance.
Wednesday- Armin van Buuren
The Dutch trance king returns to Hï for a second season after countless sell out shows at the Ibiza venue in 2017. This year, Armin has teamed up with Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano who will take charge of the Club for the 14-date residency.
Afterlife joins the 2018 roster at Hï following a successful 2017 season at Privilege. Tale of Us, the masterminds behind this party have gathered quite a following in recent years with their carefully curated musical experience. Afterlife opens on the 28th June and runs for 15 weeks. This one is for the techno lovers.
Glitterbox is the only party on the Hï calendar to survive from the Space era. Glitterbox takes over the Playa d’en Bossa venue on Fridays for 18 weeks. This night represents your weekly opportunity to indulge the disco lover in you. You can expect Glitterbox stalwarts such as Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, Todd Terry and Simon Dunmore to make an appearance across the season.
Saturday- Black Coffee
The don of deep house took up a residency at Hï in 2017 and throughout that season cemented his status as one of the most popular residencies. In 2017, the South African native won the Deep House category of the DJ Awards in Ibiza. This year, he returns for his second season at Hï for 20 weeks and looks set to be the hottest ticket on the island in 2018.
Sunday- Cream Ibiza
Cream announced earlier this year that it was moving from Amnesia to Hï. Many people across the island were surprised. Amnesia has played host to the Cream brand for over two decades and has become an institution on the island.
Cream takes up the Sunday night slot for 14 weeks with its opening party taking place on June 24th. Cream has gathered together an impressive list of regular residents such as Steve Angello, Hardwell, and Afrojack for its weekly party. Be sure to check out this exciting new partnership if you’re on the island this season.
With its diverse roster, Hï has successfully gathered something for every musical taste. Whether you’re looking for trance, progressive house, disco, deep house, R’n’B or techno, you’ll find it at Hï. Purchase tickets for all parties here.
