For GRiZ fans, his inclusive yet intimate Camp Kulabunga event is one that we all look forward to each year. In the age of quarantine, it was uncertain if this weekend retreat would return. However, community is at the core of the producer’s ethos and he wasn’t going to let his fans down. Last month, he officially announced the third annual Camp Kulabunga. It will take place virtually this year, from August 29-30.
Virtual Camp Kulabunga will give participants, now more than ever, the chance to connect. Additionally, they would be able to find a sense of community, self-empowerment and radical inclusion together. The live-stream and off-screen event will bring back old activities that are doable from home, along with new ones like creative writing with GRiZ, and loving-kindness with Sharon Salzberg. Not only that, but there will also be a special guest workshop with Tori Washington. To round up the activities, there will be mindful movement, holistic fitness, expressive arts, body rhythm, connection, gratitude, guided meditation and more.
With the purchase of a ticket you will also receive an air-mailed care package with exclusive weekend supplies including a notebook, arts and crafts, merch, etc. Workshops will spread across the weekend between 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. The camp will include downtime between meals, resting and screen breaks so participants are not glued to their devices for two days. Each camper must purchase their own ticket specific to their email address for access to the livestreams.
