Tomorrowland takes over a huge outdoors area, creating an entire city-like community, called DreamVille, for festival-goers. The event offers one of the most enriching experiences you can have at an edm festival from partaking in a community of family-like spirits to watch your favorite artists play. The festival dominates in extraordinary stages that will make you think that you have entered a whole other dimension.

Tomorrowland brings people together from all over the world where they not only become your friends, but family. They believe in creating a reality that relates positivity with Mother Nature and contributes to well-being of the next generations.

This year’s lineup includes: Camelphat, Eric Prydz, NGHTMRE & Slander Present: Gud Vibrations, Zeds Dead, Above & Beyond, Solomun, Bedouin, Amelie Lens, Black Coffee, Carl Cox, DJ Diesel, Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, Steve Aoki, The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix and more. 

2. Ultra Music Festival (Miami)

Location: Miami, FL

Date: March 29 – March 31, 2019

For the past several years, Ultra has been hosted at its popular location of Bayfront Park, in Downtown Miami. After a long battle, the edm festival is moving to the Virginia Key Beach Park, which will provide a paradise feel for the festival. Ultra has been making waves for over 20 years and continues to emerge in other cities all over the world.

Leading to its arrival, Miami Music Week attracts thousands of people to South Florida, where fans can enjoy exclusive underground and pool parties. They can also learn some tips to success in the business during the Winter Music Conference. This year, headliners include Marshmello, The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Deadmau5, Illenium, Alesso, Adam Beyer, Dog Blood (Skrillex and Boys Noize) and many more. 

3. Bonnaroo

Location: Manchester, TN

Date: June 13 – June 16, 2019

Bonnaroo is held every June on a 700-acre farm just south of Nashville. With diverse headliners that have included Beastie Boys, Eminem, The Beach Boys, Paul McCartney, Radiohead and Tool. Aside from the different genres of music, attendees can enjoy arts and crafts, food and drinks, a comedy tent, cinema tent, Ferris wheel, silent disco, parades, and yoga.

Their unique “Campground Plazas” also offer karaoke, late night parties, celebrity appearances, and more. This year, their headliners include: Grand Ole Pry, Phish, Childish Gambino, Solange, The Avett Brothers, Brockhampton, Griz, RL Grime, Post Malone, Odeza, Hozier, Kacey Musgraves, The National, The Lonely Island, Zhu, John Prine, The Lumineers, Cardi B, Illenium, Walk the Moon, Brandi Carlile and many more performers. 

4. Sunset Music Festival 

Location: Tampa, FL

Date: May 25 – May 26, 2019

Sunset Music Festival brings big-name artists to Raymond James Stadium each Memorial Day weekend. As one of the largest events in Tampa Bay, the edm festival brings in crowds of over 50,000 attendees, including costumed performing artists and bright colorful stages.

This year, it returns featuring a massive lineup spread over three stages and world-class production. The festival has built a reputation in central Florida, bringing in music lovers from all over the region. This year, Anjunabeats and Deadbeats will be hosting their own stages. It’ll feature performances by 12th Planet, Alison Wonderland, Audien, Bonnie X Clyde, Dog Blood (Skrillex and Boys Noize), Fisher, Flux Pavilion, Kaskade, Ilan Bluestone and more. 

5. EDC Las Vegas

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Date: May 17 – May 19, 2019

EDC Las Vegas

Located 15 miles outside of the Las Vegas strip, EDC Las Vegas offers 1,200-acres in the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for ravers to gather under the electric sky. You can explore eight massive stages featuring amazing colors and lights that beam for miles. Aside from the crazy stage production, ravers get to experience rides, great food, drinks, a variety of activations and more.

If the three days aren’t enough, you can prepare yourself for EDC Week. This allows you to experience the world’s best pre and post-parties on the Las Vegas strip including popular nightclubs, pool parties and edm festivals. Previous headliners, particularly from the EDC 2019 lineup, have included: Alan Walker, Cirez D, Claude Vonstroke, Snails, Andrew Beyer, Armin Van Buuren, Illenium, Zeds Dead, Adriatique, Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Zedd, Tchami, Malaa, Eric Prydz, Cosmic Gate and many more. 

6. Electric Zoo: Evolve 

Location: New York, NY

Date: August 30 – September 1, 2019

Held on Randall’s Island, NYC, Electric Zoo allows you to escape from the concrete jungle and into a fresh field of music-filled grass. It’s location welcomes a diverse fan base, where you’ll see a variety of fashionable rave outfits as you bounce between stages. As one of New York City’s largest edm festivals, it features top names in EDM, bringing a wide variety of acts from all over.

Electric Zoo has taken place internationally as well including Mexico City, Tokyo, Shanghai and Sao Paulo. This year, Ezoo’s theme, “Evolved,” will portray the festival’s transformative journey since starting a decade ago. Although we have yet to hear about this year’s lineup, previous acts have included: Marshmello, Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Alesso, Illenium, Kaskade, Rezz, Virtual Self, 3LAU, Jauz, Alan Walker, Cash Cash, Andrew Beyer, Anna Lunoe, Destructo, Chris Liebing b2b Dubfire, Gramatik, Zeds Dead, Gryffin and more. 

7. Coachella

Location: Indo, CA

Date: April 12 – 14, 2019
April 19 – 21, 2019

Coachella is held in Indio, Ca, which stretches across 330 acres of land. In short this festival is so unique and influential on its own. It incorporates various genres to ensure attendees are having the best time of their life. Further, Coachella offers a variety of incentives to its fans for getting involved with its sustainability programs. You can earn prizes for carpooling with friends, answering questions about climate change, recycling water bottles, and much more.

This year their lineup includes: Childish Gambino, DJ Snake, Diplo, Tame Impala, Solange, Kid Cudi, Weezer, Aphex Twin, Bassnectar, Khalid, Zedd, Gesaffelstein, Bad Bunny, Dillon Francis and Ariana Grande closing out the festival. 

8. Electric Forest 

Location: Rothbury, MI

Date: June 27 – June 30, 2019

Firstly the Double JJ Resort has been Electric Forest’s home since 2011. It continues to open up its campgrounds for campers to mingle, wander through the sea of tents and encounter the secrets to the Forest. Attendees get to slowly explore the Forest through interactive art installations and detailed stage setups. Being one of the best edm festivals it brings art to life by embedding visually captivating art installations into nature. As you venture through the campground, you will always find something new to experience.

This year, topping the bill is Odeza on Thursday, Kygo on Friday, Bassnectar on Saturday and Zeds Dead on Sunday. Other performances include: 12th Planet, Alison Wonderland, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Honey Dijon, Snails, The Floozies, T-Pain, NGHTMRE & Slander Present: Gud Vibrations, Gramatik, Ekali and many more. The String Cheese Incident will perform three unique Incidents. 

9. Burning Man 

Location: Black Rock Desert, NV

Dates: August 25 – September 2, 2019

Above all, it was once an intimate gathering of friends and family, attracting a tight-knit community of Bohemians and misfits from all around the world. Burning Man has an emphasis on experimental creativity, cooperation and civic responsibility. And after the man is burned in the climatic culmination, the entire “city in the desert” disappears without a trace. 

10. Sónar

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Date:July 19 – July 20, 2019

One of the most unique aspects of Sónar is that it is divided into two titles and locations: Sónar by Day, and Sónar by Night. Sónar by Day immediately gives you a cultural experience in the heart of Barcelona. Each year it’s hosted at the Fira de Barcelona, the city’s trade show institute.

Finally, the party then continues into Sónar by Night, where the entire EDM festival moves to Fira Gran Via of L’Hospitalet. Likewise, this is another significant location in the city marketed by extraordinary architecture. Consequently, it’s where the EDM festivals most prominent performers play late into the night. This year, headliners include: A$AP Rocky, Disclosure DJ Set, Dixon, Floating Points, Paul Kalkbrenner and Skepta.
