United We Groove Brings The Trance
Trance is a sub-genre of electronic dance music that does not get the credit it deserves in the states. One of the pioneers of the scene, struggling to stay afloat. This year, during Miami Music Week, the lovely Kristina Sky took it upon herself to throw one of the best parties we attended all week.
Located on the rooftop of the infamous Clevelander, overlooking the iconic Ocean Drive in South Beach. Friday, the first day of Ultra Music Festival. The views set the mood and the music added life. United We Groove was stacked with the heavy hitters of the Trance world; Kristina Sky, Nifra, Roger Shah, Monoverse, Fatum, Emma Hewitt, The Thrillseekers and more. The best part of the party aside from the music, it was free! The price had nothing to do with the quality, that is for sure.
Champagne and Sunsets
The day was filled with melodic beats and lots of champagne. If you know big names in the trance world, it was easy to recognize some of the attendees as well: Fadi of Aly and Fila and the beautiful Emma Hewitt danced the night away with us. Everyone in attendance was there for one thing, and that one thing was music. It’s incredible how the trance community is such a tight-knit community. The best of the trance and progressive world packed into one lineup. Thank you Kristina for having us.
Next was the Future Sound of Egypt party at SQL in Downtown Miami on Sunday, March 25. This venue had an outside area as well as a stage indoors. For it being the final day of Ultra 2018, it was sure a packed event. Beginning at 6 p.m. and ending Monday after 5 a.m. the beats were steady and the drinks were flowing. Again, another event filled with die-hard trance fans there for the music. Vertex Presents, which is a branch of Apex Presents, was the company that helped put together this fantastic lineup. Vertex hosts most trance and progressive parties in the Miami music scene.
First you had Luccio (who is also the founder of Apex) to start the night, followed by a wicked back to back with Aly and Fila and Paul Thomas. The best part of this back to back set was it happened to be as the sun went down. For the first time in FSOE history, they held a party in Miami. FSOE hosts these amazing talents all over the world. They’re most known for their party at the Egyptian Pyramids. OneEDM got to sit down with Stoneface and Terminal, Luccio and Monoverse for some exclusive interviews. Alongside these names to hit the decks were The Thrillseekers, Factor B, John 00 Fleming, Dan Stone, and many more.
The talent was very impressive. The love and the togetherness of the community are like none other in the electronic music scene. We hope that this is just the beginning of the up-rise in trance and for more to come. OneEDM looks forward to seeing what’s in store for MMW in 2019. Thank you Luccio, all the parts of Vertex, Apex, and FSOE for the hospitality.
