After making its debut in 2015, ULTRA Music Festival’s notorious RESISTANCE production returns to Miami with guns loaded as it announces its massive lineup for 2018. With 33 events across five continents in 2017 alone, including an eight-week premiere residency at Privilege Ibiza, RESISTANCE returns to Bayfront Park with two colossal stages for this years Miami Music Week, March 23-25.
RESISTANCE first appeared at ULTRA Music Festival Miami in 2015 with a single stage. Since then, the curated event has significantly upgraded. In 2017, RESISTANCE added another arena, expanding its presence across Bayfront Park. Once again, RESISTANCE will dominate two vast areas of ULTRA’s home-front, as it continues to grow into a techno and house festival within the music festival.
To bring in ULTRA’s 20th anniversary, RESISTANCE global ambassador Carl Cox will again host the Megastructure on Friday and Saturday. The festival also welcomes back the fire-breathing Arcadia ‘Spider’ for the third year. Arcadia’s ‘Spider’ will run through all three days of the event, with a roster of elite headliners and exclusive back to back sets.
As anticipated, the Megastructure will welcome back major names of techno and house. The Megastructure will run during the first two days of the festival, and headlining both days will be RESISTANCE ambassador Carl Cox. Artists like Adam Beyer aka Mr. Drumcode, Jamie Jones, Jon Rundell and record breaker Joseph Capriati are blessing ULTRA with their returns. Capriati will be returning to Miami in March for the first time since his 26-hour record-breaking set in December 2017.
Additionally, the Megastructure will host a special back-to-back-to-back performance from Dubfire, Nicole Moudaber, Paco Osuna. Debuts from Frankie Bones, Josh Wink, Nastia, and Pan-Pot will also be performed.
The Arcadia ‘Spider’ arena will run across all three days of ULTRA and will host an impressive lineup with special performances. Making big returns are producers Chris Liebing, Hot Since 82, Maceo Plex, Matador (live), Nic Fanciulli, Patrick Topping (with special guest), and others. Joining the lineup for 2018 are fresh faces including Christian Smith b2b with B.Traits, Danny Tenaglia, Pete Tong, and more.
Making their premier ULTRA appearance is Better Lost Than Stupid, the collaboration of Davide Squillace, Matthias Tanzmann, and Martin Buttrich. Another epic collaboration on the list is J.E.S.u.S, composed of Jackmaster, Eats Everything, Skream, and Seth Troxler. Furthermore is the return of Sasha & John Digweed among many more, some which have yet to be announced. Fair to say any further additions will be extra toppings on this already overflowing, mind-melting, delicious tech-house sundae.
