OneEDM: WHO AND WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO FOLLOW YOUR PATH IN MUSIC?
Busta K: Music is something that has always been a part of me. I have always enjoyed creating my own music and from learning the bases, such as music theory or playing the guitar to working on my own songs. As for artists that inspired me, there are plenty, like Bob Sinclar, Daft Punk, Justice, Cassius, and Avicii.
WHEN YOU ARE NOT CREATING OR LISTENING TO ELECTRONIC MUSIC, WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU ENJOY TO LISTEN TO?
I listen to rap music a lot, and I am a huge fan of Migos. They have a real vision of music and to me, they are changing the way of making rap music. I also enjoy jazz and classical music. Pierre Schaeffer and Claude Debussy are among my favorite composers of all time.
ARE THERE ANY FESTIVALS OR GATHERINGS YOU ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO ATTENDING AND PLAYING AT THIS YEAR?
Lollapalooza’s Paris festival was amazing last year, so I look forward to attending it again. I have not planned to play at any festival at the moment but that is something my team and I are working on.
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF MAKING MUSIC?
I like the end of the creative process when you realize you managed to create something unique that you have built from scratch!
DO YOU HAVE ANY DREAM DESTINATIONS TO PERFORM AT?
Paris would be amazing, as well as Ibiza or Miami.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE FESTIVAL TO PERFORM AT SO FAR?
TechnoParade was the best. I was only 15 years old when I played there.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST SATISFYING ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR?
Last year, I was selected by Willy William’s team to release the official remix of the international hit “Mi Gente” with J Balvin. I was very proud to work for such a talented artist, and that my work had been chosen among those of acclaimed DJs such as Hardwell and Dillon Francis.
APART FROM EDM, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO?
I like fashion, to follow the latest trends and brands. I also enjoy sports, such as running. It enables me to get rid of stress and be more creative.
IN LIFE AND MUSIC, WHAT WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOUR BIGGEST STRUGGLES?
I would say patience. Sometimes it is hard to be patient when you always want to go further and reach your objectives.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TALK ABOUT?
I keep on creating new tracks and watching new musical trends and songs. I also love exchanging with my followers on social media, so make sure to follow me to see what is coming next.
Release Single “I Don’t Care”
From the producing talent of Busta K comes his latest hit single “I Don’t Care.” With great tracks like this, he is on the rise to stardom. In fact, he has caught audiences’ attention with previous bootlegs and remixes prior to this release.
Among his successful following of listeners are a select few that got to hear this single ahead of its release on Friday, May 4. As a result, the word is that this is his best work yet. Check out the new track below!
From the piano melody in the intro to the chorus of the horns, Arianna Jonae’s voice, and the kick-drums, this track plays loud and clear. As a vocal-centric track, the voice stands out louder than the background music. As such, the piano melody in the intro fades to a softer volume as Arianna Jonae sings.
At the climax, Arianna Jonae’s vocal performance is backed with horns that play a melody similar to that of the piano. The continuity of the track is especially well done as it makes for a steady listening experience. The listener hears the whole track working together than a composition that otherwise breaks away.
Arianna Jonae sings about not caring. As the lyrics come with a sassy nature, so does the attitude in her voice. The expressive voice of Arianna Jonae is compelling. Furthermore, her voice is plain beautiful.
The track emits positive vibes from start to finish. Particularly, a care-free vibe, because the lyrics express this explicitly as “I don’t care.” The melodic piano arpeggio has a nice groove that also inspires dancing. Overall, this house-track makes for a good feeling, just listen.
