Jason Yan is arguably the hottest rising star in China since 2017, having re-located to Los Angeles, the 22-year-old DJ and producer has a wealth of knowledge and experience under his belt along with several top releases such as “Clout Overdose”. Working with best friends Aiden and SAMURAI to bring us “Losing Myself”, we caught up with Jason Yan to discuss.
Talk us through the story behind “Losing Myself”?
We always lose ourselves in our life. This track ‘Losing Myself’ will let listener feel happy when they lose themselves and teach them not to worry if they are lost.
What has the initial reaction to the track been like?
I’ve had some really great reactions! People feel happy after listening to the track.
How did the collaboration with Aiden and Samurai happen?
Aiden and SAMURAI were my best friends in high school. We have the same dream of becoming musicians, so we thought why not make a tune together and now the collaboration is out!
How would you describe your style of music?
I think we can call it “Hybrid Bass”. It includes Melodic Bass, Happy Hardcore, Trap, and Speed Bass House.
How would you sum up “Losing Myself” to someone who hasn’t heard it yet?
This one is sick af!
