Introducing: Naizon

Have a listen to this guys fresh take on the tech house style

Naizon is a relatively new producer, and he has already shown he is capable of making great tunes. His latest release “Dance It” is an addictive and energy fuelled tech house style banger. We caught up with him to learn more about what he does.

Hi Naizon, tell us a little bit about yourself (Name, age, where you’re from, what you do etc.)?

My name is Yassine, I’m 32 and come from a small town near Lake Garda in Italy. I’m a DJ/Producer and I’m currently working on my new tech house album. My first song “Dance It” is due to be released on the 9th of August.

How were you first introduced to music and when did you realise this is what you wanted to do?

Music has been in my life ever since I can remember. I developed an interest in DJing when I was 16 years old, that was when I discovered Cubase and started to play around with sounds. I’m also a professional dancer and took piano lessons, so understanding of sounds and music came naturally. I always wondered how it would be to have people dance to my music and once I’d tried, I realised that this is what I wanted to do. Making people happy and to see them dance to my set, it’s my passion.

Who are your main musical influences?

90s electronic dance music and artists such as Faithless, Gigi D’Agostino, Benny Benassi and Tiësto inspired me to become a DJ. My main inspiration for the past 7 years has been Laidback Luke and more recently Chris Lake.

What are some of your greatest achievements so far?

I have played for over a year in Brisbane as a resident DJ, for 4-5 days a week and I must say that seeing people enjoying my sets and coming just to see me play was one of the greatest achievements for me. Being able to create my own music and to release it is also a great accomplishment.

What would be your dream label to release on?

Dirtybird, Spinnin’!

Who would you love to collaborate on a track with?

Laidback Luke, Chris Lake, Claude VonStroke, Chris Lorenzo or Oliver Heldens.

Which one of your releases would you recommend to listen to that best describes you as an artist?

My first solo release “Dance It” is due to come out today , so I’m recommending that you listen to it. As my first song, it expresses my style but the whole album will show off my skills and describe me better as an artist.

If you could produce any other genre of music what would it be and why?

Electro house, because I absolutely love the energy that I get when playing this style. You just want to dance non-stop.

What is your ultimate career goal?

To be able to travel the world and play my music, to be number 1 in Beatport and play main stage at Tomorrowland.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself? (not music related)

I danced ballet for 10 years.

What’s in store for Naizon this year?

To release a few more tracks and be at least in the top 10 in Beatport!
