EDM NOMINEES/WINNER

Nominated for favorite artist in Electronic Dance Music included The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, and Calvin Harris three of the biggest names in the EDM world. As votes are tallied up, there is no telling who’s going to take home the award. Waiting in anticipation for the name to be read The Chainsmokers are called to the stage to collect their AMA. Aside from winning the AMA for favorite artist in Electronic Dance music, The Chainsmokers were nominated for Collaboration of the Year, Favorite Duo or Group Pop/Rock and favorite Song Pop/Rock for “Closer” featuring Halsey. Last but not least, The Chainsmokers went up against Bruno Mars, Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Ed Sheeran for the Coveted Artist of the Year Award.

PERFORMANCE BY SELENA GOMEZ AND MARSHMELLO

Selena Gomez and producer Marshmello performed their collaborative single, “Wolves,” at the 2017 American Music Awards. Owning the stage and making a memorable AMA performance, the duo put on a show that no one will forget.

The crowd is applauding as the lights dim out and a scene of mysteriousness is revealed. As the music begins, the audience can see a car with its headlights on in the middle of the dark woods. Gomez, in s simple silk white dress, is laying in front of the vehicle as fog covers her. As she begins to sing and stands out of the fog her dancers also emerge, also dressed in white dresses. As the song goes on you can notice Gomez looks dazed as her dancers graciously carry her through (all intentional). Behind some trees, Marshmello can be seen on the drums accompanied by a guitarist to bring an extra feel to the beat.

PERFORMANCE BY ZEDD AND ALESSIA

At No. 7 on the hot 100, Zedd and Alessia performed their hit single “Stay” at the 2017 American Music Awards.

Alessia Cara impressed the crowd in a beautiful white dress and live vocals to compliment her perfectly. Behind her is Zedd playing on a Roland piano accompanied by orchestration to put out the perfect sound. Zedd and Alessia pleased the audience with their duo.

HAILEE STEINFELD, ALESSO, FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE AND ANDREW WATT AMA PERFORMANCE

Performing their collaboration, “Let You Go,” at the 2017 American Music Awards is Hailee Steinfeld, Alesso, Florida Georgia Line and Andrew Watt.

The stage set-up for this collaboration was a genius. Hailee Steinfeld was positioned front stage with dancers. Behind her stood a rectangular structure with separated square spaces. In the bottom spaces Alesso and Andrew Watt were placed and in the areas above was Florida Georgia Line.

Steinfeld in thigh-high, silver, sparkle boots and a sexy dress captivated the audience. Between her appearance and vocals what’s not to be taken back by? Alesso manning the decks and putting out phenomenal beats was accompanied by Andrew Watt on the guitar. Doing back up vocal was Country Pop duo Florida Georgia Line, who many people are familiar with.
