Amazon lockers have made their way to Coachella. Lockers will be available to festival-goers, which will allow for easy access to festival needs such as sunscreen, hats, and phone chargers. All can easily be delivered to an onsite locker at no extra charge during the festival weekends of April 12-14 and April 19-21.
Another fantastic feature that Amazon has recently done to its retail site is a dedicated Coachella storefront. Shopping for Coachella just got a whole lot more convenient with categories like fashion & accessories, beauty, health & wellness, tech and camping gear.
How To Use The Locker System
To receive a package at a locker, all the customer needs to do is at the checkout process use the shipping address at one of the Amazon lockers located in Coachella. When the package is ready for pickup, the recipient will receive an email with a barcode that will be used for receiving. A dedicated area will be at the festival along with a team to help if any problems arise.
About Amazon Lockers
Amazon operates lockers in 900 cities and towns all over the United States. The lockers are looked upon as an alternative for those who do not want to take delivery at work or home. Lockers have their benefits such as package theft protection and help with people who lived in shared spaces. This also makes for convenient returns and faster shipping.
Amazon lockers are usually permanent installations at gas stations, superstores, and other area businesses. This will be the first time the retailer has brought lockers to Coachella. It is also the first time Amazon has set up temporary lockers at all, outside of hurricane relief efforts.
Amazon is more than likely using the massive music event as a form of advertisement. Same day delivery to a massive audience is very impressive, also showing amazing catering to the festival. If the lockers have a successful run at Coachella it would not be surprising to see them at other events. No plans have been announced to show that the company is moving in that direction, but it is possible.
