This morning, Thursday 16th August 2018 Amy Thomson announced, via Instagram that she would be ending her involvement with Swedish House Mafia at the end of the summer.
The post was accompanied by an image that seems to be from Steve Angello’s Insta stories in which he confirms that Swedish House Mafia are back in the studio. In a honest post on her Instagram feed she said that she had informed the boys (Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso) that she would be leaving. She went on to explain some of her reasons for this decision. “In this industry people expect you to stay in projects that make you powerful……….It was a big decision after 14 years but one I made for myself”. She also took the opportunity to thank the boys, the fans and most importantly her daughter who “shared me with this crazy ride without ever complaining”.
