Born in New London, Connecticut as Nathaniel Redburn, Audien has taken the progressive house and trance scene by storm. In fact, Audien’s come a long way from recreating songs from Armin Van Buuren‘s A State of Trance podcasts and getting signed to Ferry Corsten‘s Flashover Recordings record label at 17.
Currently signed onto Astralwerks, Audien has released four EPs and his music is a unique mix of stunning melodies and vibrant sonic sounds. Audien has also performed at prominent festival such as Tomorrowland and Lollapalooza and has had residencies at nightclubs like Marquee and XS Nightclub in Las Vegas. On November 8th, Audien released his first ever LP, ESCAPISM, and he is also doing a North American tour that bears the same name.
ESCAPISM Helps Listeners Escape Troubles
Audien’s debut LP, ESCAPISM, has 11 songs that will surely lift up listeners whenever they’re having a stressful or troublesome day. The opening track, “See You On The Other Side”, provides orchestral and piano notes that ease people into the music as they begin listening to the LP. The second track of ESCAPISM, “Reach”, features Grammy-winning songwriter Jamie Hartman, an emotional song that discusses inner strength and removal of fears. “Reach” is also a perfect song for people who want to have the happiness that they deserve and not have any more negative feelings.
The fifth track, “Favorite Sound”, features indie pop band Echosmith and it has catchy beats that merge with energetic synths. “Favorite Sound” also lets the listeners understand that they should always be confident and never doubt in themselves anymore. Another recommended song from ESCAPISM is “Rollercoaster” featuring Liam O’Donnell and it talks about the ups and downs of being in a relationship. The track starts off with rhythmic keyboard notes and steady guitar strums until it included upbeat bass lines to enhance the ambience.
Audien’s ESCAPISM Tour
As mentioned, Audien is currently on his North American tour, named after the LP. As of this writing, He will perform on December 6th at The Warfield in San Francisco. Additionally, he has already performed at notable locations such as The Concord Music Hall in Chicago on November 5th, Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall on November 22nd, and The Novo in Los Angeles on November 29th. Things to look out for at his shows include a brand new stage design and production elements personally selected by Audien himself. Attending an Audien show will bring unlimited euphoric feelings and sadness will be cast aside.
