Say Goodbye to Datsik
In light of recent sexual assault allegations and a spewing of online support from EDM artists including Jauz, Rezz, Space Jesus, Excision, and more, 29-year-old Canadian dubstep producer Datsik has canceled all future shows. Scroll below for updates.
What started off Wednesday as an online Twitter warfare has caused the producer to turn his Twitter account private, as well as state the following on Facebook:
“The last 24 hours have been a whirlwind of emotion and reflection. In light of the recent allegations against me, I am canceling all the remaining tour dates and pulling myself off all future festivals. To anyone who has supported me, has faith in me or has offered to help me, I thank you.” – Datsik aka Troy Beetles
Official post made on Facebook Thursday, March 15.
Allegations surfaced when numerous girls responded to a tweet Datsik made sharing their experiences of sexual assault with the producer. Some instances include women being given “TULSA” passes to enter his tour bus, which supposedly meant “ASLUT” spelled backwards. A few of these occasions left women reportedly drugged on ketamine and sexually pushed on by Datsik himself. Other reports include horrific stories of girls’ mistreatment dating back years ago.

Datsik was initially set to finish out his ‘Ninja Nation’ tour this March with Space Jesus, Riot Ten, and more. In addition, the producer had festival appearances planned this summer including Electric Forest, Dancefestopia, Ever After Music Festival and more.
(Update Fri, March 16) Ephwurd – the side project of Beetles and Bais Haus announced on Instagram it will no longer operate in partnership with Datsik.
(Update Thurs, March 15) Deckstar and Circle Talent Agency drop partnership with Datsik via social media posts. Also, the DJ has stepped down from Firepower Records and will no longer have an active role within the label.
