James Estopinal Jr. bought back Disco Donnie Presents (DDP) from LiveStyle during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Estopinal Jr. is, once again, the sole-owner of DDP after surviving bankruptcy with SFX and running with LiveStyle.
“What type of crazy person buys back their events company in the middle of a worldwide pandemic?”
James Estopinal Jr., CEO and founder of Disco Donnie Presents

History of Donnie Disco Presents
Estopinal Jr. began DDP in 1994 as an independent promoter. He brought big electronic artists to cities similar to New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, and Tampa. During this time he consistently grew his name.
Pasquale Rotella, CEO of Insomniac Events, and Estopinal Jr. paired up in 1999. Together they grew Insomniac Events to become a household name. Creating events like EDC (Orlando, Puerto Rico, Dallas, and New York), Nocturnal Wonderland Austin, and Beyond Wonderland Seattle. The duo also co-founded Electric Forest.
Next up was SFX Entertainment. SFX Entertainment’s goal was to unite all electronic music promoters under one platform. One of SFX’s first purchases during the buying spree. In 2016, SFX went bankrupt and rebranded itself as LiveStyle. DDP survived bankruptcy with SFX and continued on with LiveStyle until now. In addition to DDP, LiveStyle’s portfolio also includes Tomorrowland, Electric Zoo, TomorrowWorld, and more. With access to these worldwide events, DDP gained invaluable experience in event promotion. Undoubtedly, this experience will now apply to Estopinal Jr.’s solo venture.
Moving Forward
DDP already has a solid portfolio to begin his solo journey. Ubbi Dubbi, Sunset Music Festival, and Freaky Deaky Texas will blast off this new beginning. Even with the pandemic causing mayhem to just about every festival in 2020, DDP plans to hold two festivals this year. Sunset Music Festival in the summer and Ubbi Dubbi Gets Freaky Deaky Texas over Halloween weekend.

In addition to the events, DDP has always been committed to giving back to the community. Often times, ticket proceeds go to a local charity raising over $200,000 in the past three years.
DDP is dedicated to getting people out to vote. A new launch called R.A.V.E. (Register and Vote Everywhere) takes after Disco Donnie for President and Make America Rave Again. The idea of these initiatives is to encourage people to get out and vote, and to accept everyone no matter what their political stance is.
We want to encourage and inspire people to register to vote and participate in our democracy.
Disco Donnie

DDP is expected to continue to deliver top-notch electronic music events while leading and inspiring electronic music promoters.
