Darude will represent Finland this year at the 2019 Eurovision Song Competition. Ranked one of the most successful Finnish artists of all time having started his music career in 1995, and most especially recognized, for his release of the iconic single “Sandstorm” in 1999. At that, “Sandstorm” is currently on its way to 144 million views on YouTube.
Darude’s 2000 debut album “Before The Storm” sold 800,000 copies worldwide, and his second album has placed 11th on the Billboard dance music charts–Darude is a legend.
