The sixth annual iHeartRadio Music Awards will commence on Thursday, March 14, live on FOX. The award show represents those who are the most popular on iHeartRadio’s platforms. Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Drake, Imagine Dragons, Post Malone, Shawn Mendes, and Maroon 5 are nominated for multiple awards this year.
iHeartRadio allows fans to decide on the winners of several awards, such as Best Fan Army and Best Lyrics. The voting takes place on Twitter from January 9th to March 7th. In addition, two new socially voted categories will be added, including Song that Left us Shook, and Favorite Tour Photographer.
Last year, the award show was incredibly successful, generating over 216 billion impressions across social media platforms. To recap, Ed Sheeran won Song of the Year for his hit “Shape of You”, and Chance the Rapper won the iHeartRadio Innovator award in 2018.
