REZZ “Mass Manipulates” us with a comic book announcement

Mass Manipulation

Isabelle Rezazadeh, the “Space Mom,” aka Rezz, flew her spaceship through everyone’s radar this year. She appeared on many festival lineups, listed as a can’t-miss artist. Earlier, in August, REZZ unleashed Mass Manipulation, an album with extraterrestrial sounds and a dark vibe. The album was released on Deadmau5‘s label, Mau5trap, and is truly unique, featuring wavy basslines, futuristic track disappearances, and tribal beats. However, listening to the album does not create the same experience for everyone so, to further express her artistry REZZ announced her collaboration with Luis Colindres.

REZZ – “Luis Colindres and I created ‘Mass Manipulation’ as a 60-page comic book to help tell the story of my album.  It shows REZZ arriving from Neptune to mass manipulate and hypnotize Planet Earth. Accompanying the comic book is an animated music video for ‘Premonition’, which features images and highlights from the comic book.”

Illustrator and animator Luis Colindres has collaborated with REZZ in the past. They first came together on REZZ’s ‘Something Wrong Here’ EP. Since then, Colindres played an integral part in the setting of her visual standard. Colindres also designed the ‘Mass Manipulation’ album cover and tour art. Additionally, Colindres animated the music video for the single Premonition. The music video coupled with the announcement of the 60-page comic book. You can pre-order the comic book and watch the hypnotizing music video below.

With her album on the loose, festival season coming to a close, and her comic book on the way, REZZ is ready to start her tour, taking her fans on a psychoactive and mesmerizing journey. Notably, REZZ paves the way for artistry unlike any other. She constantly pushes boundaries and even challenges other artists to do the same. REZZ the “Space Mom” shows us what it means to be innovative, and she is not someone to sleep on. Catch her on tour this year at the following dates:
