The city of Toronto is home to many successful and incredibly talented producers. From house-music to trap and bass, The Six consistently contributes incredible music to the EDM scene. Toronto’s dance-music community is flourishing, and part of the success can be attributed to five artists.

Miss Tara

Miss Tara has been busy blessing the people of Toronto with her groovy beats ever since she rose from the underground in 2013. She fuses her authentic sounds with upbeat energy to create unique and catchy tracks. In 2017, she released many successful singles, some featuring talented vocalists Ashni and Simms.

If you attend shows in Toronto, you are likely to be familiar with Hunter Siegel. The DJ is well known in the city for his event series “No Neon”, as well as attracting partygoers who live for the darker and bass-heavy house vibes. In the past, he has brought out artists like Matroda, Wuki, and Torro Torro to throwdown sets at “No Neon”.

Keys N Krates

Keys N Krates are some of the most multi-dimensional and innovative producers that Toronto’s dance-music scene has to offer. The trio started as a live hip-hop band and uses its influences mixed with UK bass to produce their ear-melting tracks. Since 2017, the group has been busy creating bone-chilling tracks like “Glitter” and “Right Here”.

The group has big plans in 2018 as they have recently started their US tour. Kicking off in Buffalo, the tour will reach 35 locations. Their exhibition ends with a show at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto on May 11, so be sure to catch the trio’s live performance.

Thugli

If you like future-bass and feel-good music, then Thugli is a DJ group you have to check out. The Toronto-based duo first established in 2012 and quickly made waves in the city’s EDM scene. The young DJ’s have mastered the ability to mix on vinyl from years of experience behind the decks.

Deko-ze

Deko-ze is no stranger to the dance-music scene. With nearly 20 years of experience under his belt, this DJ knows how to party. He is well known for his ability to smoothly transition between house, tech-house, tribal, and techno. The DJ also co-owns and runs the Toronto-based label Jungle Funk Recordings, and has made significant contributions to the EDM scene.

The label has established itself as one of Canada’s leading sources for dance music, with releases featuring the world’s hottest artists. Keep your eyes peeled in 2018 and watch out for any upcoming Deko-ze shows in The Six.
