‘OMNI’ EP
Talented trombonist turned producer Alexander Lewis officially drops his OMNI EP. The 7-track project is his latest foray into hip-hop featuring talented collaborators, hard-hitting trap verses, as well as brassy beats.
OMNI features a multitude of different drops and rhythms that take the listener by surprise. The EP opens with “Clockwise”, introducing the listener to powerful rap verses by Nick White and Lewis’ thundering trombone with an infectious brass sound.
“Off Guard” offers a change of pace from the other tracks. Sarah White’s alluring vocals, as well as a catchy, upbeat hook, will have any listener sing along. The last track on the EP, “Pearl Magnolia”, features Brasstrack’s added instrumentals, BXRBER’s soulful vocals, Armani White’s skillful raps.
OMNI is just a first look at Alexander Lewis’ hip-hop oriented productions. It is sure to surprise and delight listeners.
Alexander Lewis
After studying jazz performance at The Manhattan School of Music, Lewis put his classical music training to use to produce electronic music. He is widely known in the EDM community for his chart-topping remixes of Troyboi’s “Flamez” and Mr. Carmack’s “Pay for What”.
OMNI is a departure from his earlier trap-jazz sound that showcases his wide range of production skills while keeping his trombone in the forefront.
