Danny L Harle – “1UL”

The early 2000’s are most defiantly coming back and I couldn’t be happier! One of my favorites, Danny L Harle just dropped a new joint, 1UL, and it’s making me feel so nostalgic. Danny is signed to PC music and I’ve been hooked to a lot of their releases: I feel they have given us some of the most unique dance music in the last few years. They strive for difference and that makes me love them even more.
Like I stated earlier, this song packs that late 90’s, early 2000’s rave touch. It 100% could have totally fit in with that scene back in the day and the fact that a song like that still sounds so good today proves its a classic sound. The xylophone intro is a killer and immediately pulls you right into the song, there’s also this slight whistle that plays in the background is so damn catchy. The whistle comes more into play throughout the whole song and I can’t help but be obsessed with it. It just screams 2000 to me, there’s no other way to describe it.
The vocals and lyrics are nice and they play perfectly with the song itself. You can definitely learn the lyrics after a few spins. I also love how the single cover says “lead single” on it- thank you very much for the heads up! Maybe I’m just an old dude holding on to a sound I grew up with, but this track is fire. I’ve always loved dance music, and something that makes me move and this song has all of that. It’s dance music all around and does exactly what it sets out to do, make you dance. This song is perfect for glow sticks and strobe lights or sweatpants and a headband in the gym; either way, your gonna move!
