Dion’s latest creation is a 10-track double EP. Very Extra starts by immersing you in a world of euphoria and melody spanning the first 5 tracks. As you reach the back half, Dion turns up the heat and throws down some of his most aggressive new bangers.
Dion Timmer opens his album with an emotional feel, nostalgically reminiscent of a lost orchestra before dripping into the world of synthesizers. Many tracks on Very Extra feature guest vocalists who help carry the emotion that much further. “Calling Me” is a track that starts off with a house-influenced beat before coalescing into one deep and dark dub drop. Azuria Sky is featured as the vocalist on numerous tracks and her sultry voice helps bring this EP to light and life.
Very Extra will be perfect for listeners seeking a little more of a relaxing vibe while still harnessing the prowess of dubstep. The EP closes with “Identity Crisis” ft. R E X E X. Timmer dives into the heavy with a churning bass line and hip-hop vocals to support. The bass grinds at a slower bpm before floating off to a brief keyboard solo to close out the EP.
Thus far, the EP has garnered a much positive response from the likes of Excision, Peekaboo, and plenty of fans via Twitter.
