DJ E-Clyps’ ‘Blackbird’ EP Roosts at DIRTYBIRD

Former tour DJ to the stars and current rising house star DJ E-Clyps makes his way back into the DIRTYBIRD fold today with a two-piece heater titled ‘Blackbird’. The EP follows his 2017 label debut on that year’s ‘BBQ Compilation.’
Blackbird takes flight with “Scooty Woop”. It is a simple, yet infectious house number with bumping bass and off-kilter synths. Concurrently, it is the quintessential DIRTYBIRD sound. DJ E-Clyps goes deeper with “Coffee Break,” featuring the seductive vocal talents of E1SA. Minimal in nature, the piece stimulates the mind using an immensely grooving bassline, steely percussion accents, and a fluttery flute riff. These sounds can surely brighten up the finished product.
DJ E-Clyps has a resumé marked with milestones like tour DJ-ing for Gucci Mane and collaborating with Too $hort. He also nabbed a nomination for DJ Mag’s ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ award in 2018. He sets out to take the world by storm. Not long after re-discovering his passions for the sounds originating from his home region of the Midwest, Claude VonStroke quickly picked him up for a slot at Dirtybird Campout West, in addition to his contribution to the label’s aforementioned BBQ Compilation.
