DØBER teamed up with his fellow Dutchman CHOCO for his newest release, “Freaky.” The single is part of DØBER’s “Twisted” EP. Additionally, it represents his new sound with an emphasis on electro house and tech influences. “Freaky” is made for grooving on dark dance floors and turning up your night, thanks to its driving, percussive basslines, and grimy synths.
No stranger to club music, the new track follows up his recent release, “Tear the Roof,” another heavy cut that differed from his previous releases. DØBER has one of the more intense sounds on Protocol, as the label continuously expands and diversifies its artist roster. CHOCO, privately a stuntman, also had successful releases on Spinnin’ Records and Armada Music. He has collaborated with Nevve, Angel Taylor, Julian Jordan, and Kriss Kross Amsterdam. Now, he makes his debut on Protocol with “Freaky.”
Nicky Romero and the Protocol crew are always delivering cutting-edge new music. This comes from their brilliant melding of genres for exciting and unexpected sounds. Their latest additions feel right at home with that mantra, bringing a fusion of tech-house and electro sounds with plenty of grooves to the table. DØBER joins a full roster of talented producers such as Thomas Gold, Deniz Koyu, Marc Benjamin, Teamworx, Maximals, and more.
The talented newcomer draws his inspiration from artists such as Dogblood, ZHU, and Gesaffelstein. In doing so, DØBER promises plenty of dark, hard-hitting tunes to add to the label’s repertoire. Moreover, Protocol’s mixture of veteran heavyweights and fresh talent makes for some of the most exciting releases in the game. This guarantees unlimited potential for collaborations. We look forward to more releases from DØBER and the rest of the Protocol team coming soon!
