The White Panda has an astonishing gift for remixing songs and they can really top the charts. I have been able to see the duo perform a few times at Firefly Music Festival and also at The Fillmore, and every time they get the crowd completely hyped up and put on one hell of a show. FRND Be Happy The White Panda Remix brings an upbeat vibe to the song which is originally more down-tempo.
This track is more mellow than most EDM music and a lot of the other remixes The White Panda does, but that’s what made it stand out. The track starts off with the vocals from the original and the panda masked duo gradually builds up the track by layering the soft chords with light percussion. The drop comes up with melodic bass underlying vocal chops from the original song. The track can either mellow you out, or get you ready to dance and be happy.
While the duo doesn’t drop too many new remixes, when they do it is definitely worth the wait. The guys are not currently touring, but they will be at Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware this June. They are set to play on Saturday, the 17th. If any festival junkies are heading out to The Woodlands, seriously go check them out. If you can’t make it out to Dover, at least go check out some of their other remixes on Soundcloud.
