FTampa “Light Me Up” [Review]

I’m glad it’s still summer in the Northern Hemisphere because FTampa’s “Light Me Up” was recently released. Truly a fun song, “Light Me Up” is definitely meant to be played on repeat at every party throughout the last warm nights of summer. An easy-going yet solid guitar riff is the baseline for the song. Simple lyrics paired with rich vocals add depth to the song. The drop then makes a balance of mellow and upbeat. All in all, this song can safely be deemed as the last song of summer for this year.

FTampa, real name Felipe Ramos, is one of Brazil’s most recognized electronic musicians today, something he fought hard for. He was an orphan at the age of 6. Growing up with that kind of hardship shaped the person – and musician – he is today. He creates music as an escape and for healing, which reflects in the positivity of his music. The effort he forged into his music definitely paid off – he was the first Brazilian artist to play the MainStage at Tomorrowland in Boom, Belgium. He has been touring in clubs internationally. FTampa is currently touring in Brazil.
