Kasbo returns after nearly a year since his last single “I Get You” featuring Lizzy Land and he has exciting news. Today, the Swedish producer announced his forthcoming sophomore album, The Making of a Paracosm, set to release on October 23rd. In celebration of his new record, he released the first single, “Play Pretend”, featuring fellow Swede, songwriter and vocalist, Ourchives. The track emulates all the reasons why Kasbo’s music is so addicting. In fact, “Play Pretend” have emotive crescendos and gripping lyricism. Additionally, it is sure to get stuck in your head all week.
Along with the single, he dropped a gorgeous music video that grapples with living a dual life between fantasy and reality. The dream-like melodies of “Play Pretend” perfectly soundtrack the enchanting video that showcases Kasbo’s effortless ethereal production and storytelling capabilities.
The Making of a Paracosm spans 14 tracks and will be an ode to Kasbo’s Swedish heritage. It features collaborations with a variety of Swedish artists like Frida Sundemo, Freja The Dragon, Nea and NOOMI, as well as a notable appearance from Vancouver Sleep Clinic.
