Kaskade and Project 46 Release, “Chains”
This marks a follow-up to their 2013 hit, "Last Chance"

Kaskade and Project 46 join forces again with their new track “Chains”. A cathartic sonic journey, the track is a myriad of ubiquitous emotions in our daily lives. It begins with angelic vocals crooning the line, “Running out of ways to run away. I cover it up, but I can’t escape”. This sets the stage for the progression of gentle melodies and rolling bass-lines. Subsequently, it segues into a bouncy, big-room influenced climax.
Breaker of Chains
Kaskade and Project 46’s “Chains” pulls at the heartstrings of anyone who has felt restrained, either by others or themselves. Consequently, when the track’s drop comes, you feel the chains of life’s discomfort broken; the burden has been lifted. “Chains” is Kaskade and Project 46’s follow-up to the 2013 single, “Last Chance,” the opening track from Kaskade’s “Atmosphere” album, and Project 46’s most-streamed single to date.
Kaskade’s credentials
As a household name in electronic music for nearly two decades, Kaskade needs no introduction. His list of achievements is as deep as his music: 11 studio albums, 7 GRAMMY nominations, the first solo electronic dance artist to sell out both Navy Pier in Chicago and the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the first DJ to ever secure a Las Vegas residency, and the first electronic artist to headline Coachella. Less tangible, but even more important, has been his influence on dance music tastes and culture for generations of listeners.
Canada’s finest
Canadians Ryan Henderson and Thomas Shaw are the masterminds behind Project 46. Together, their melodic and progressive sound never fails to inspire and uplift listeners. They began Project 46 in 2011, and were active until 2016. Notably, Ultra Records, Monstercat, Armada, and Mixmash were some of the prominent labels to feature their releases during this period. 2020 marks the comeback of Project 46, and we are looking forward to more beautiful, vocal-driven dance tracks coming from the talented duo later this year!
