Kaskade Captivates Fans With ‘Kaskade Christmas’

Grammy-nominated DJ Kaskade has produced something entirely new of himself with an album of Christmas tracks. The album itself is largely a new spin on old favorites and a few new originals. Furthermore, the album is a deeper spin on Kaskade himself. Taking a much more bass-filled and low-tempo approach than usual, Kaskade Christmas is just the seasonal album EDM needs.
Of course, one staple throughout the entirety of Kaskade Christmas is the beautiful and melodic female vocals that Kaskade is known for. Immediately we are taken for a ride when Christmas Is Here transitions from beautiful vocals we know and love, to a low and slow beat with an R&B vibe. As the album progresses to Track 5, O Come Emmanuel, Kaskade invites Skyler Grey’s soul-tickling vocals.
The following track, Silent Night, continues the light-hearted pace with vocals from Ilsey, star-vocalist of Kaskade’s mega-successful track Disarm You. The pace of the album then slows to almost a halt, and the tracks grow too dark and dubby tones.
The album carries its dark tone a few tracks further to Santa Baby featuring Jane XØ. The track takes on a jazzy vibe while remaining slow-paced, which feels perfectly fitting for the album. Winter Wonderland includes another returning star’s vocals, the one, and only Kaskade himself. The final track plays fans out with vocals from Dia Frampton in This Christmas Night, an upbeat track that is the perfect end to the winter wonderland-themed album.

Released Nov. 24 via Arkade, Kaskade Christmas is an amazing compliment to the season. It would be the ideal album to grab a cup of hot cocoa and relax by the fire too. We are excited to see what this EDM master will treat us all to next.
