Keys N Krates drop debut album “Cura”
Debut Album ‘Cura’
Keys N Krates have released their debut album ‘Cura’ on Dim Mak Records. As they continue to grow their sound with this endeavor, the funky album features top-draw talent including Tory Lanez and 070 Shake. The release comes alongside their current Cura Tour where they are hitting several American and European cities.
‘Cura’ features their carefully curated sound that includes mixing trap drops while weaving in hip-hop and R&B sounds. The album is spotlighted by “Music to my Ears” featuring Tory Lanez. That does not stop them from borrowing sounds from the disco-era of other songs, like “Glitter” featuring Ambre Perkins.
The vibes continuously change, keeping you on your toes throughout the entire project. The song “Flute Loop” is another track which showcases their range, even within a single album. Different variations of flute notes begin as a secondary sound, but gradually becomes the focus sound alongside the catchy drops.
Keys N Krates
Momentum
The world is also taking notice of the succession and potential of Keys N Krates, as Time Magazine and Exclaim! Music are excited about the trio group:
Canadian electronic music trio Keys N Krates have a subtle way with beats… They’re minimalists with a keen ear for sticky percussion.
One of 2018’s early standouts, and a shining showcase for some of Toronto’s best producers.
The album is a good bridge between their old trap and hip-hop sound, maybe leaning towards a new sound that their live act has been playing. They are not leaving the old sound behind. However, they are adding diversity to it to stay original. Find tour dates here to experience the explosive electronic music trio.
