Lastlings Release Gripping Single with Video of “Take My Hand”

Australian-Japanese sibling duo Lastlings announced their major signing with Astralwerks last week. Shortly after, Lastlings returned with their first stunning single and video of the year, “Take My Hand”. Amy and Josh Dowdle showcase their musicianship and versatility in this latest release, proving they’re poised to be the next breakout exports from Australia.

“Take My Hand” delivers on all fronts: from its insatiable danceability to its emotive lyricism. The video creates an otherworldly escape into dreams of the past or premonitions of the future–a feeling we can all relate to longing for at present.

Behind “Take My Hand”

Take My Hand is about two people who are unprepared to let go of each other. They both care about each other deeply but have to go their separate ways. We took inspiration for this song from one of our favourite animes, Your Name’ by Makoto Shinkai.”

Lastlings commented on their inspiration for the single, ‘Take My Hand’.

In 2019 alone, Lastlings produced remixes for notable names like SG Lewis and Grammy-nominated band RÜFÜS DU SOL. Collecting over 10 million streams to date before last week’s record deal, there are certainly big things awaiting for Lastlings.
