There is a new party anthem in town, and it is blowing up. “Gas Me Up,” the new hit single by LP Giobbi and Hermixalot, began as a joke song originally titled “Peanut Butter Mood,” about the latter artist’s affair with a coworker as a teen working at Jamba Juice and their smoothie called “Peanut Butter Moo’d”. Have a listen to this track below.
Hermixalot, whose vocals are featured in the track, said in a press quote:
“The song became a pre-party anthem for us, and I think that’s the energy it’ll bring to people that listen to it. I hope it becomes every friend group’s jam when they’re getting ready to go cause trouble with the squad,”
“Gas Me Up,” is her first single of 2020, mixing deep basslines with playful piano sounds and Hermixalot’s vocals. The two are frequent collaborators. The release follows LP Giobbi’s “Angel,” a collaboration with Crush Club, and “Jungle Queen,” produced with TT the Artist.
