Monolink Announces Debut Album ‘Amniotic’ via Embassy One
Monolink Announces Debut Album, Amniotic, Due April 20th.
Steffen Linck aka Monolink has announced his debut album, Amniotic, due April 20th. The record is slated to release via Embassy One, a subsidy of Embassy of Music which has released gems from talents like Björk, Booka Shade, Moby and more. Creating a similar sound of Bob Moses, Monolink is a budding, multi-instrumentalist straight out of Germany. He performs his underground Berlin sounds with American pop tinges live on Ableton.
For the first time, Monolink brings in his own vocals as Amniotic takes you on an ethereal journey layered with piano and guitar. In his own words, “I’m a huge fan of listening to large bodies of work from start to finish and taking a plunge into the world the artist has created,” which is just what he achieves with this album.
Furthermore, Monolink describes Amniotic as having:
“a tremendous connection to life and nature. The lyrics take inspiration from life and nature. When you have gigs all over the world, your life takes place at airports, in cars or hotel rooms. I have noticed more and more often how I enjoy getting away from society, out of the cities and into nature; and that’s very much reflected in this album.”
Following Burning Sun, his 2017 EP via Sol Selectas, and The End, a collaborative record with Acid Pauli in 2015, this album stands as Monolink’s first full-length body of work.
With a release set for 4/20, the artist will then embark on a 3-month tour across the US, Europe, and the UK. He’ll be performing his evolved live show featuring live guitar, vocal, and his moving productions.
