Pete Tong Releases ‘Ibiza Classics’ Album

Pete Tong releases his second studio album Ibiza Classics with Jules Buckley and The Heritage Orchestra, his highly anticipated follow-up to the #1 UK album Classic House. Featuring classical renditions of even more of dance music’s greatest hits like The Chemical Brothers’ Galvanize, Candi Stanton’s You Got the Love, M.A.N.D.Y’s Body Language and more.

In Ibiza Classics, Tong combines the euphoric experience of touring Classic House alongside Buckley and The Heritage Orchestra with knowledge accrued over four decades immersed in the dance-music culture.

There are few individuals in the world of dance music who can claim the kind of influence Pete Tong has. As the voice of Radio 1’s prestigious dance program, Tong has held a commanding presence in the industry. The DJ has become the leading tastemaker of the electronic generation with an unparalleled ear for talent. Though known publicly as Pete Tong the DJ, behind the scenes he is an industry icon.

The last eighteen months have seen him ramp up an already-stacked schedule. In 2015, to celebrate BBC’s twenty-year presence in Ibiza, he brought electronic music to BBC’s “Proms” concert series by having a live orchestra perform dance classics. Tong, Jules Buckley, and The Heritage Orchestra will host a follow-up performance this December at London’s iconic O2 Arena. Such an event sold out in hours and will be accompanied by a December-album entitled Classic House on UMC/UMOD/Polydor.

In 2016, Tong brought his Essential Mix series stateside with live broadcasts in Los Angeles, Miami, and Brooklyn. The DJ took the IMS to Shanghai for its first ever China edition. He also served as producer and music supervisor for the Netflix original film XOXO. Presently, he is embarking on his first-ever “All Gone Pete Tong North American Tour”.
