Rising Star Kideko Collaborates with Armand Van Helden

Legendary house producer Armand Van Helden and Brighton-born DJ Kideko have come together during lockdown to create a summer-starting feel-good jam titled ‘The Fire’. ‘The Fire’, is bringing the heat to our ears with piano chords that radiate euphoric vibes. There are old-school throwback samples like Gwen McCrae’s ‘Keep The Fire Burning’ and The Temptations’ ‘Ain’t Too Proud To Beg’. The track has a huge disco feel. It perfectly combines legacy and emerging house tastemakers who show off their distinct talents.

We weren’t too familiar with Kideko until we saw all the tunes he’s been part of over the past 5 years and recognized his sound right away. He’s been conquering the scene since he released ‘The Jam’ in 2015. That track led him to a successful track record on big underground labels like Toolroom and Fatboy Slim’s Skint Records. Recently, he collaborated with Sonny Fodera and Alex Mills on ‘Been A Long Time’, a favorite on our playlists. Kideko continues to make his presence known within the UK dance music community. We can’t wait to see what he does next after this collaboration with Armand Van Helden.
